Mistress of Inks

My interest in art started early, heavily influenced by the dark fantasy films of the '80s: those dense, magical and slightly strange worlds that sparked my urge to draw. Over time, that blended with the delicacy and enchantment of Japanese animation, creating a contrast that is still part of what I try to express. I like working in that meeting point between the softest and the most mysterious, with references spanning epic fantasy, illustrated worlds and also the imagery of card games, which have always been part of my life. My art comes about very intuitively, as a way of organizing ideas, feelings and images as they appear. I like to build, little by little, a visual space that makes sense to me and that, somehow, can also speak to other people.
